Power restored on west side of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Utilities reporting a power outage caused by equipment failure on the west side of Colorado Springs, south of Highway 24 Tuesday morning.

The CSU outage map showed that the outage impacted the area south of Highway 24 from Bear Creek Road to just east of 21st Street. As of 7:17 a.m., approximately 2,413 customers were without power.

Service was restored by 7:42 a.m., roughly three hours before the original estimated time.

Remember that power outages could cause traffic signals to go dark, If you drive toward a dark intersection, slow down and treat it like a 4-way stop.
