US Air Force Academy Ethics instructor charged with internet luring of a child

ARAPAHOE COUNTY – The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office has booked an Air Force Academy instructor on a felony charge of Internet luring of a child.

Deputies tell News5 Paul Sikkema was booked into the Arapahoe County jail Wednesday. He is being held without bond.

The Air Force Academy’s website said Sikkema teaches ethics with the philosophy department. He’s taught at the academy since 2017.

According to the USAFA website, he graduated from the academy in 2012.

A spokesperson for the Air Force Academy confirmed Sikkema worked as a professor at the academy. He said the academy is working with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation.

Sikkema is expected to make his first court appearance Thursday at 9 a.m. in Arapahoe County court.
