EL PASO COUNTY – Lane closures will be happening throughout the day Wednesday to repair a hole in S. Academy Boulevard at Bradley Road.
As of 11:47 a.m., traffic is down to one lane in the area while crews do some paving work in the area. Originally, the county said it was planning to repave the road on Monday, but workers are going to try to make the repairs on Friday.
The hole developed Thursday at the seam of the bridge over Bradley Road. Crews had to remove all of the asphalt across the road. As a temporary fix, crews put down steel plates over the gap in the road.
Drivers should drive slowly and carefully in the area while crews make repairs. There is no estimated time for all lanes to reopen.
