COLORADO SPRINGS – A crew from AMR joined the Pikes Peak Humane Society and Colorado Springs Police as officers served a search warrant at a home on East Meadow Drive early Wednesday.

An officer on the scene tells News5’s Shayla Girardin officers arrested two people at the home. 31-year-old Jakki Banks was arrested as part of a Financial Crimes Unit investigation. 37-year-old William Gerbig was arrested on a unspecified felony warrant.

Our crew on scene saw personnel on scene wearing surgical-style face masks to protect them as they removed animals from the home. The Humane Society took possession of several dogs and cats.

Two elderly women in the home were wheeled outside by medics to be checked out for any medical issues.

The officer tells us the people authorized to live in the home were allowing others to stay there and reportedly use it as a “party house.”

Code Enforcement inspected the home and deemed it illegal to occupy.
