COLORADO SPRINGS – Springs police arrested a woman wanted on attempted murder charges late Tuesday night following a chase, but they’re still looking for a second suspect.
Police arrested 21-year-old Alexis Suarez for attempted homicide and other felonies. Officers said it all started while they searched for the suspects in the area of Union and Constitution around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday. They said they found them in a white SUV, and when officers tried to stop the vehicle, it sped away.
The chase ended with a crash near the intersection of E. San Miguel Street and McArthur Avenue in Colorado Springs. Suarez was caught at the scene, but a second male suspect was able to get away. Police tried to track him using a K-9, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
Police said the male was also wanted for multiple felony warrants, including attempted homicide. They did not release the man’s name.
