COLORADO SPRINGS — Care & Share held another mobile food pantry Friday in a new location due to high demand.
The giveaway was held in the parking lot of the World Arena.
Care & Share says about 550 families showed up to receive donated food. Many of those families are still recovering from being furloughed during the recent federal government shutdown.
The next mobile food pantry event will be held on February 16th at Centennial Elementary school, it could be the final one to be held in the near future, but organizers say they will watch carefully to see if there is a need for more.
Care & Share would also like to thank every person and family who has donated to help those in need.
