PUEBLO COUNTY – Expect to see closures if you’re heading out on Highway 50 to the mesa in Pueblo County.
“It is a very very long corridor,” said Michelle Peullen, CDOT. “Right now the rideability isn’t where we like it to be.”
To fix the problem, CDOT is working on an overlay and drainage project on Highway 50 from 4th Street to Baxter Road.
“The overlay portion of the project, which will start in spring, will improve the smoothness of the road, as well as extend the life of the surface,” Peullen said.
The project is expected to be done by August 2019.
