COLORADO SPRINGS- The busy and hectic holiday shopping season is already underway, and for shoppers in Colorado Springs there’s an incentive downtown on the weekends: free parking.

Starting Saturday Nov. 24th, anyone going downtown won’t have to pay for on-street parking.

Parking is always free on Sundays, giving shoppers the full weekend to not have to pay for parking as they’re getting those gifts.

City of Colorado Springs officials says many city-managed parking garages are only $0.75/hour weekdays, $1 after hours and all day on weekends.

Saturday is also ‘Small Business Saturday,’ a national movement to encourage people to give their money to local small businesses.

The free parking goes through Dec. 22nd.
