COLORADO SPRINGS- It’s one of the busiest holiday travel times at our nation’s airports. The Colorado Springs Airport is busy, but it’s not terribly out of hand. It’s always a good idea to give yourself plenty of extra time to find parking and get checked-in. You can find more information on flights and parking at the COS Airport here.

It’s a whole different story at Denver International Airport Wednesday. Heavy traffic on I-70 and Pena Blvd. can cause delays and then the average wait time is over 20-minutes. The Pikes Peak parking lot is full and there is parking available in the outer lots. More information on flights and parking at DIA here.

More than 54 million people will be traveling nationwide ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. DIA is expecting more than 800,000 passengers to travel through the airport for the holiday. On top of that, just about every public space at the airport is under construction, including the security checkpoints. If you’re familiar with DIA and you haven’t been there lately, it’ll be different.

DIA will be the fourth-busiest airport in the nation.
