Woman says she was shot while driving in southeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS – Police are investigating after a woman told them she was shot while driving late Thursday night in southeast Colorado Springs.

Police tell News 5 a woman reported she shot while driving near the intersection of Shenandoah Drive and Capulin Drive around 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

That intersection is located to the northeast of S. Circle and Monterrey Road.

She said she saw a flash come from another car and heard a loud bang. Soon after that, she realized she was shot in the leg and drove to a gas station to get help.

She described the vehicle as a dark-colored sedan, but no other details are available at this time.
