GUNNISON COUNTY – Needy families on the western slope can now be better served thanks to some help from Care and Share.
The Gunnison County Country Pantry was recently awarded a $75 thousand grant from the Walmart Foundation. The keys to a special, refrigerated van were also handed over to the Pantry.
A lack of resources prevents many smaller communities from meeting needs, and this new refrigerated van will allow more people to get fresh meats and produce.
