COLORADO SPRINGS – Police are surrounding the Skyline Apartment complex on the 2200 block of E. Bijou.
The Colorado Springs Police say they were attempting to arrest a man when he barricaded himself in one of the apartments. Several people in the apartment building have been evacuated and others living nearby are being asked to shelter in place.
There is a large police presence in the neighborhood and police are also using K-9’s. One person in the area says they are using a bullhorn to shout out their demands to come out to the man.
Police ask that you stay away from the area until this is resolved. If you live near the apartment complex, you are asked to shelter in place.
