LAS ANIMAS – The Bent County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man after he ran off at a convenience store in Las Animas.
36-year old Michael Maes ran away from deputies and even though they searched the area, they were unable to find him.
Maes is wanted for a Department of Corrections for a parole violation.
Maes is not believed to be armed, but he does have an extensive criminal record involving drug use and some other assorted property crimes.
He was last seen riding a bicycle eastbound on 3rd street in Las Animas.
