COLORADO SPRINGS – More than a year after skeletal remains were found in Waddy, Kentucky they’ve finally been identified as Timothy Stites of Colorado Springs.
His family reported him missing in 2016. A skull was found in February 2017 when a dog brought the remains to its owner in Shelby County, Kentucky. Additional bones were found in nearby woods.
It took more than a year to make a positive identification by a university lab where the remains were sent.
Officials are now asking for help to try and figure out just why Stites was in Kentucky. A cause of death has not been released.
