AURORA – Aurora Police said no officers were hurt and a suspect is in custody following an officer-involved shooting Wednesday.

It’s unclear if the suspect was shot, but police said “officers” were involved in the shooting.

Police said the shooting happened in the 2200 block of Fairplay Street, which is near Chambers Road and E. 22nd Avenue.

Police said there is no threat to the public at this time.

It’s the second time in less than a week that officers were involved in a shooting in Aurora. An officer was shot in their protective vest last Friday in a shooting near the CU Anschutz Campus. Two victims later died from that shooting.

That shooting remains under investigation and the officer involved in the shooting is on paid administrative leave.
