EL PASO COUNTY – Ridge Road is now open between US/Hwy. 24 and Colorado Avenue to vehicles.
Late Thursday afternoon, CDOT and their contracting partner, Wildcat Construction Company, Inc., were able to open the stretch head of a mid-September projection.
During the closure, crews installed islands to help direct traffic movement. A new drainage system was installed as well at Ridge Road and Colorado Avenue which includes adding new water mains, storm sewer, gutters, curbs and entrances.
This is all in association with the Westside Action Plan.
