DENVER – Clear your calendar this Saturday, it’s Breakfast Burrito Day in Denver!

You heard right, this is the second year the delicious day will make its rounds at popular breakfast spots around the Denver metro area. According to reporting partner 9News Denver, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has proclaimed the second Saturday in October as “Breakfast Burrito Day.”

This is in an effort to recognize the city’s efforts on blending American and Mexican cultures.

Santiago’s in Denver will be serving up the delicious breakfast treat for just a $1.25 a piece. That is the same price breakfast burritos were sold when the restaurant opened in 1991, 9News said.

Illegal Pete’s will also be offering their signature breakfast burritos for free at eight locations, yes free!
