COLORADO SPRINGS – A person is recovering from a cut to the face after they were assaulted early Saturday morning in southeast Colorado Springs.
Officers say they were called to the 1800 block of Carmel Drive and while they were there, they saw the suspect running away from the scene. After a brief chase, police lost the male suspect when he ran into a backyard. Police continued to search the area, but they were unable to locate the man.
The victim was treated for their injuries by paramedics.
The name of the victim has not been released and there is no suspect information at this time.
