Two arrests made after shots fired downtown

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, CSPD officers in the downtown area heard two gun shots, followed shortly by two more gun shots in the area of Pikes Peak Avenue and Nevada Avenue.

The officers’ investigation led them to a parked vehicle in the 100 block of East Pikes peak Avenue. Said vehicle was occupied by three people.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle, Jay Cho, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The passenger, Devin Cockrill, was arrested for menacing related to the shots fire.

Police said there were no injuries from the incident.
