The Colorado Department of Corrections and authorities in Fremont County are searching for an inmate who escaped from a state prison east of Canon City.
37-year-old Michael Onorato was last seen at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Fourmile Correctional Center just south of Highway 50.
The fugitive is considered to be dangerous.
A notification was sent out to the community this morning about Onorato.
He’s described as a white male, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing inmate greens.
