On Memorial Day, The Black Bear Diner in Colorado Springs teamed up with the Home Front Cares to help out active military members and veterans.

The diner donated 20 percent of every meal at the restaurant went toward the organization.

"It’s so important especially in Colorado Springs, we have such a huge veteran military community here, and its such a generous community that loves to give back," said Christina Thomas, the Home Front Cares Development Director. "We are so happy to be able to serve those who served us."

The organization works to help out veterans and military members with rent, utilities and other everyday expenses, if they need it.
