The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for portions of northeastern Colorado, northwestern Kansas and counties in southern Nebraska until 9 p.m. (Mountain Standard).
If you or loved ones are traveling through the area on the way home from Memorial Day activities, be aware.
The areas impacted in Colorado are: Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Washington and Yuma counties.
The threats include a few tornadoes, widespread hail up to apple size, scattered wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.
