On Wednesday at the Pueblo Zoo, African painted dog brothers Hunter and Minzi welcomed two new members to their pack.
Painted dog sisters Amara and Akilah were brought in from the Houston zoo to join the boys and hopefully grow the pack.
Although introductions have the potential to be dramatic as the dogs establish dominance, the zoo said the introductions went very smoothly. The girls seem very excited and receptive to joining the boys and forming a pack.
Officials from the zoo will present a talk about the dogs on Thursday at noon.
