A recent study suggests mentally tiring jobs might be bad for a woman’s health.
French researchers followed more than 70,000 women for 22 years. Nearly a quarter of those women reported their jobs were mentally tiring at the start of the study.
Those women were 21 percent more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes compared to women who did not consider their jobs mentally draining.
Type 2 diabetes could lead to heart attacks, strokes, blindness, and kidney failure.
Nearly 75 percent of the women in the study were teachers.
