COLORADO SPRINGS — News5 is pleased to congratulate our September Teachers First award-winner, Celia Molner.

“On behalf of Urban Egg, Salsa Brava, and KOAA we would like to present this month’s Teacher’s First Award to you, Celia Molner. Will Rogers Elementary at District 11 thank you for all you do,” said Randy Price, President, Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group

Celia Molner is a special education instructor at Will Rogers Elementary in District 11 and she is truly committed to education and to her students. She goes beyond expectations by coming in early every day and staying late almost every night providing empathy, insight, and human connection. Miss Molner shares her experience of the love of teaching with her colleagues and often takes new teachers under her wing to help them achieve more and become better teachers.

“I’m totally surprised and don’t even know what to say," said Celia Molner, Teachers First Recipient, Will Rogers Elementary.

“She is extremely patient and always positive. So, no matter what kind of challenge comes her way, she is able to step up to the challenge and overcome it. She just runs an amazing program for our students. They just love her.” said Linda Slothower Will Rogers Elementary Principal.

“These are the guys that all make it worth it and I just love doing my job. It is very much an honor to have people sort of show their appreciation for all the teachers do. It’s not just me. Our whole school works so hard with all of our kids,” said Molner.
