Mountain Artists Holiday Show

Members of the local Mountain Artists group showcase and sell their art: photography, paintings, weavings, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, and much more. Beautiful art and very reasonable prices. Drawings for $10 coupons are drawn every 45 minutes. Free refreshments! Drop by to shop for great gifts or simply to enjoy great art!

THERE IS NOTHING QUITE LIKE A FRESH CUT CHRISTMAS TREE! The Pikes Peak Ranger District will be offering Christmas tree permits on site at the Woodland Park Middle School parking lot on December 6 & 7, as well as December 13 & 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Permits are also available from December 1 through December 17 at the District Office, 601 S. Weber St., Colorado Springs, Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

An Evening in December: The Gift (Dinner Theater)

Tweeds Holiday Home Tour

This is the 16th Annual Tweeds Holiday Home Tour, benefiting Teller Senior Coalition and the Ute Pass Symphony Guild. Tour Guests are invited to enjoy lovely holiday decor and live musical performances at six beautifully appointed homes. Everyone is also encouraged to visit the Hospitality Suite at True West Properties (821 W. Lafayette Street, Suite 100) for refreshments and holiday cheer.

Our Hat Judge will be prejudging hats at the UPCC Pavilion at 5:15 before the start of the parade to select 10 finalists to be judged at the Annual Tree Lighting held at the UPCC following the parade. The more creative the better so don’t hold back! Make it fun and make it crazy!! Prizes presented at UPCC Tree Lighting after the Parade 1st place - $100 Gift Certificate From Williams Furniture.

An Evening in December: GOD WITH US (Dinner Theater)

Charis Bible College
The second dinner theater is entitled “God with Us.” This is an original production, with script and music written by Robert and Elizabeth Muren of Norway. A thirty-five-member cast will take the stage, re-enacting the powerful story of Abraham’s encounter with God and His promise that all nations of the earth would be blessed. The event then brings to a musical finale the redemption of the Word becoming flesh—“God with Us.”

Here comes Santa and Mrs. Claus flying in from the North Pole to the DRC. Children will get to share with Santa their Christmas wishes and then join Mrs. Claus for a jolly good time listening to and being a part of holiday stories, songs, and poems. Gold Hill Theatres and the Woodland Music Series will team up again this year to continue this popular program. On the 2nd Sunday of every month, you can enjoy a live concert and a beverage of your choice and see a first run movie. Your movie ticket is good for any movie, any time!! Stay after the concert for the 4:00 show, or return at your convenience to enjoy the movie of your choice. December concert will feature all your favorite Christmas music.

WINTER DAY IN THE PARK

Celebrate WInter Break! Join us at Memorial Park for an afternoon of skating and sledding (weather permitting) and pictures with Santa. This family event is for all ages. Dress warmly and bring your ice skates and sleds. Games, snacks and hot chocolate will be provided. See you at the park!

COLORADO COWBOY CHRISTMAS (Dinner Theater)

Charis Bible College
The final dinner theater event, “Colorado Cowboy Christmas,” will feature “Colorado Cowboys for Jesus” - with Joe Stephenson on the fiddle and Vern Thomson on the acoustic guitar, the pair will lead a live band as they weave Gospel music, traditional cowboy tunes, and stories about their lives to show how they found true peace on earth. Joining them will be young world-champion fiddlers to make this a cross-generational experience.

Kid’s FREE Day! 2 children, ages 12 and under, will receive FREE admission with one paid regular priced adult admission. Come to the “Super Cold Science Show” where you can make your own cup of ice cream…see what happens when ordinary objects are exposed to extremely cold temperatures. Shows will be at Noon and 2 with activities in between, before and after presentations. Come be engaged, inspired and excited at the wonders of science with “Cool Science.”
