Clouds and breezy winds will rule Tuesday night's sky in southern Colorado, with HIGH WIND WARNINGS in effect starting at midnight just to the north of us. (Click "weather alerts" on the main weather page to see if those warnings extend into the NewsFirst 5/30 viewing area later). Gusts to 50 mph were reported on the west side of Colorado Springs early Tuesday evening, and stronger gusts are possible. Wednesday will feature gusty winds and warmer temperatures, and that trend will continue into Thursday. Friday, a cold front will move in, bringing increasing clouds, wind and a chance for snow later. The snowflakes will persist into early Saturday, with cold temperatures lingering. Sunday will be mostly sunny and "just about average".
