America is getting fatter and advocates predict that more than half in 39 states will be obese by the year 2030.
According to Yale University's Rudd Center for food policy and obesity, over 2/3 of Americans are overweight or obese.
In an effort to help, McDonald's has decided to start listing calorie information on menus in 14,000 different restaurants.
A new law requiring all restaurants to follow takes effect next year.
New York is also taking action, banning sugary drinks in containers bigger than 16 ounces. Not everybody is happy about the move, but those in favor say they're hoping it'll help curb the obesity epidemic.
Right now, experts aren't sure if posting calories on menu items will work, but say previous studies show it can be effective and we won't know until we try.
