Posted 2:37 PM 10/9/2012 : Coroner identifies body found along Fountain Creek
The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified a man whose body was found face down in Fountain Creek last Thursday. He is 69 year-old John Hamilton of Colorado Springs.
A woman who was walking along Fountain Trail near I-25 and South Circle Drive discovered Hamilton's body and called 911. Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office who responded found Hamilton fully clothed with no obvious signs of trauma.
An autopsy was performed on Friday. However, the official cause and manner of death have not yet been determined pending test results.

A man's body was discovered this morning near Circle and I-25 by a woman walking along Fountain Trail.
When police arrived they found the man in the creek. Officers say there are no signs of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma to the body.
They are investigating. We have a crew on the scene and will tell you more as we know it.
