    A Colorado woman is facing a $500 fine for a free apple that was given to her on a Delta flight. Crystal Tadlock was on her way home from Paris, when she said she was given an apple from a flight attendant. "The violation is for one apple," said Tadlock.

    Colorado Springs Police have confirmed one person is dead following a shooting in the 5100 block of Airport Road Sunday night. Police said one person has died, and another has been transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

    This week the state of Colorado designated UCHealth Memorial Central in Colorado Springs as a level 1 trauma center.  This new designation makes Memorial 1 of just 4 designated trauma centers in Colorado and the first in southern Colorado. Dr. David Steinbruner is the Chief of Staff at UCHealth Memorial, and explains what the new designation means for our region and the team effort involved in making it happen.

    Once again this year UCHealth Memorial is sponsoring the annual Jeffrey Ray Davis Sepsis Challenge 5k.  The race is in its 5th year, and will be happening on may 5th at America the Beautiful Park with a new twist this year.   Lisa Bartlett works year around to raise awareness about sepsis.  Her life took a major turn in 2012 when she lost her then husband Jeff to sepsis in less than 24 hours.
