Drugmaker Prizer plans to cut 6.000 workers over the next five years, and close plants, as it consolidates with Wyeth. Pfizer purchased Wyeth last year. The plant closures will be in the United States, Ireland and Puerto Rico. The closures come on top of cuts announced in November. more » -
Pfizer says FDA OKs updated infection vaccine

Pfizer says the Food and Drug Administration has approved an updated version of its best-selling infection vaccine for children. Prevnar 13 is intended to reduce the risk of infection by 13 varieties of pneumococcal disease, which causes ear infections, meningitis and pneumonia. Local veteran says drug gave him homicidal thoughts
