Fort Carson's 4th Brigade Combat Team is officially home, uncasing the colors Friday morning following a deployment to Afghanistan. The ceremony also included honoring 39 soldiers lost during the deployment. Names of the dead were added to Fort Carson's Global War on Terrorism memorial. more » -
280 Fort Carson soldiers return

More than half of the Fort Carson soldiers from the 4th Engineer Battalion have returned after a year-long deployment. The soldiers spent their time in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Their main mission was to clear improvised explosive devices from roadways. They cleared 1,700 roads equating to hundreds of miles.... more »
