Firefighters have just arrived to a reported grass fire that was possibly caused by a downed power line near Stetson Hills and Southbound Powers Blvd. The fire is out and Colorado Springs Utilities has been dispatched to deenergize the line before it causes any further fires. Colorado Springs Utilities has sent a technician to the scene of an accident at Drennan and Monica. A vehicle involved in the accident is sitting on an electrical transformer box. There are no reported power outages in the area at this time. Utilities is also investigating a possible... more » -
Xcel installing temporary Denver substation

Xcel Energy is still asking customers in east Denver to reduce electricity use as it installs a temporary substation to replace one that blew up.
