Pueblo's middle school band marching strong

Trumpets are blaring in Pueblo. The Sun City Marching Band is back for its 29th year. The city band is made up of kids in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. They're a dedicated bunch. They practice Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mineral Palace Park.... more » -
Fort Carson soldier dies in Afghanistan

The Defense Department says a Fort Carson soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. The Pentagon says 19-year-old Spc. Robert Donevski of Sun City, Ariz., died Saturday from wounds he suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small-arms fire in Abad, Afghanistan. Two residents of Arizona's Sun City West retirement community are facing charges of resisting arrest and trespassing after they refused to leave a recreation club tennis court.
