The Sand Gulch fire southwest of Wetmore is now 100 percent contained. The fire started on April 26 and was apparently caused by lightning. It burned 495 acres. Evacuations lifted, progress made in Sand Gulch Fire

While the Sand Gulch Fire continues to burn in the San Isabel National Forest near Wetmore, fire crews say progress is being made.
