About 100 volunteers got their hands dirty Saturday afternoon at the Flying W Ranch. Many trees were lost during the Waldo Canyon Fire and the ones that are standing are charred, causing major erosion problems. A conservation group says it's concerned about vandalism, looting and destruction at the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument in southwest Colorado and other protected lands. New $4 million project to help restore Hayman fire area

The U.S. Forest Service, Vail Resorts Inc. and the National Forest Foundation are teaming on a $4 million, three-year project to restore habitat harmed by Colorado's worst wildfire in history.
