Colorado Springs refurbishes fire equipment to save money

The City of Colorado Springs saved money recently by rebuilding a fire department pumper truck. A new one would have cost approximately $371,000. The refurbishing process cost $172,000. The Fire Department has refurbished six units over the last four years, for a combined savings of over one million dollars.... more » -

Eatery reopens 3 months after fire

A popular eatery in Monument re-opened Monday. The Coffee Cup Café in downtown Monument. The restaurant closed for roughly 3 months after the roof caught fire June 30.
