TOKYO (AP) - The number of dead and missing after Japan's earthquake and tsunami continues to rise. An emergency at second nuclear plant declared in Japan

TOKYO (AP) - Japan's nuclear safety agency is reporting an emergency at a second reactor in the same complex where an explosion occurred earlier. The agency says the cooling system has now malfunctioned at the plant's Unit 3. The plant is one of two damaged in Friday's earthquake and tsunami. more » -

Strong earthquake hits off southern Japan coast

There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties following a strong earthquake that shook several small islands off Japan's southern coast today.
