Multi-vehicle accident shuts down stretch of Platte Ave

Colorado Springs Police have shut down all east bound traffic on Platte between Chelton and N. Academy for a multi-vehicle accident. No major injuries have been reported. Eastbound traffic is being diverted onto Chelton to get around the accident. more » -
Federal weapons suspect target of barricade

UPDATE: SB Academy traffic at Platte down to one lane

Colorado Springs Police and Fire Department crews have opened the left lane of Southbound Academy Blvd. and Platte following a roll over accident that sent two people to local hospitals. One victim is currently listed in critical condition. Police are still investigating to find the cause of the accident.... more » -
UPDATE: Platte Ave at Wahsatch reopened

Colorado Springs Police had to close a portion of Platte Ave. East of Wahsatch due to multiple accidents and ice build up through the underpass. They have cleared the accidents and sand trucks have placed traction grit to the road. Many streets through out the city have had some melting... more »
