Fort Carson officials they're considering some changes for their Southern Colorado training site -- the Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site. They're thinking about a name change; eventually possibly calling it Fort Carson South. 2 fires burning on Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site

Crews are fighting two fires on the Army's Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site, located in southeastern Colorado. The site is utilized by Fort Carson soldiers for training.
