Canon City passes initial moratorium on pot dispensaries

On Tuesday, city council members in Canon City unanimously voted to pass a moratorium on licensing medical marijuana dispensaries. The moratorium will last 120-days. Denver's City Council has passed proposed rules for medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. The rules are set to take effect March 1 but could change depending on what happens in the state Legislature.
