About 200 homes in Manitou Springs are waiting for electricity to be restored. It went out just before 2:00 p.m. as heavy storms were passing through El Paso County.
Colorado Springs Utilities has a crew working on it, and they hope to have power restored within the hour.

It's the kind of weather you'd expect to see in December, not June. At least 4 inches of snow fell on the summit of Pikes Peak Monday morning. There was enough ice and snow on the Pikes Peak Highway that rangers closed the road halfway up.

A rock slide has forced the closure of one westbound lane of Highway 24 near Manitou Springs.
The slide happened Monday afternoon near near Cave of the Winds.
Work crews are trying to clear the slide.
