Authorities have released the names of the snowboarders killed in an avalanche at Loveland Pass on Saturday. Ian Lanphere, 36, of Crested Butte, Rick Gaukel, 33, of Estes Park, Chris Peters, 32, from Lakewood, Joe Timlin, 32, of Gypsum, and Ryan Novack, 33, of Boulder were all killed. ... more » -
Truck accident closes Loveland Pass

Loveland Pass is closed because of a truck accident. The Colorado Department of Transportation reports it will be a lengthy closure because hazmat crews are off loading more than 7,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The road is expected to be closed for several hours. more » -

Two snowboarders riding near 11,990-foot Loveland Pass survived an avalanche that covered part of U.S. 6.
