Deer counting to be done by air

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will use a low-flying helicopter to conduct annual aerial deer surveys in eastern Colorado in the coming weeks. After a day of violent weather in eastern Colorado, the conditions are right for more. Yesterday a tornado touched down for ten minutes near Springfield and baseball-size was reported in Baca County. Manzanola schools closed by flu outbreak

Both schools in the town of Manzanola in Southern Colorado will be closed for the remainder of the week because of an outbreak of swine flu. In addition, all weekend activities are cancelled.
