Trees blown down last November in a wind storm can still be found all over the Sangre de Cristos in Custer County. Near County Road 198, large trees are toppled over, and some are even uprooted. Many of the trees have caused problems along Rainbow Trail, but crews are working... more » -
Forest Service works to clear trees from trails

A small wildfire is burning in Custer County. It started on a ridge after a lightning strike, probably yesterday. The smoke is visible from Pueblo. Dismembered body identified

Investigators have now identified a body, found dismembered in a remote area of eastern El Paso County. The body was located at a camp ground, back on November 24.
