This year's city budget cuts had Colorado Springs swimmers nervous with the closing of local pools. However, those swimmers get a little more relief this weekend. On a hot summer day, a neighborhood swimming pool is about as good as it gets. Last year the city of Colorado Springs was close to closing all of them because of massive budget problems. "The overall aquatics budget was approximately $2 million dollars for all of the pools." explains... more »
