Friday is the deadline for Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter to take action on bills passed during the 2010 legislative session. Women in Colorado will no longer have to pay higher insurance rates than men. Gov. Bill Ritter on Monday signed a bill that prohibits gender discrimination in setting health insurance rates. Lawmakers say rates for women were higher than rates for men, and they believe it's unfair. more » -
Bicycle injuries keep Colorado governor in hospital

Doctors say Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter will stay in the hospital for three or four days recovering from broken ribs and a separated shoulder he suffered in a bicycle wreck. Ritter tumbled from his bike Tuesday when he ran into another cyclist during an early morning exercise ride. ... more » -

A spokesman for Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter says the governor was in good spirits after being taken to a hospital following a bicycle collision this morning. Ritter apparently suffered several broken ribs when he collided with another cyclist. The governor was taken to Denver Health Medical Center. His condition... more » -
