Fire at Garden of the Gods blamed on cigarette

A wind-driven wildfire at Garden of the Gods Road and 30th St. is out. Fire investigators believe it was started by a discarded cigarette. Fire danger is very high along the Front Range due to warm temperatures, wind and low humidity. more » -
Mobile home burns east of Pueblo

A mobile home burned this afternoon in eastern Pueblo County. It started as a grass fire started possible sparked by a cigarette, according to the Sheriff's Office. The fire started in the 3800 block of 44th Lane. At one point five homes were threatened. One mobile home was destroyed.... more »
