An abandoned mine shaft gave way to a huge sinkhole in Cripple Creek, causing delays and detours for drivers using Highway 67. A four mile stretch is closed to traffic.

I-25 southbound will be closed again tonight at 10 p.m., just north of the Circle Drive/Lake Avenue interchange to install new signs.
Traffic will be detoured south on Nevada Avenue, east on Lake Avenue and back to I-25. The highway reopens at 5 a.m. Friday.
