83-year-old Ernest Marmy was killed in a crash on McCulloch Boulevard at Quantico Drive this afternoon when his Ford minivan was hit by a dump truck.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash at 1 p.m.

The driver of the dump truck was taken to a hospital to be checked out for injuries. That driver's name and current condition has not been released as of Thursday night.

Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
